ALPSP (Association of Learned and Professional Society publishers) has more than 315 member organisations in 39 countries and is the largest international trade association for scholarly and professional publishers. ALPSP provides information, education, representation, cooperative initiatives and guidelines for good practice.

COPE (Committee of Publication Ethics) is a forum for editors and publishers of peer reviewed journals to discuss all aspects of publication ethics. It also advises editors on how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct.
COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources) is an international initiative serving librarians, publishers and intermediaries by setting standards that facilitate the recording and reporting of online usage statistics in a consistent, credible and compatible way.
Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate) is a plagiarism screening service designed to help publishers verify the originality of content submitted to them for publication.

CrossRef's mandate is to connect users to primary research content, by enabling publishers to work collectively. CrossRef is also the official DOI link registration agency for scholarly and professional publications.
